Keshav Prasad, IRS retd. Member, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal

Mr. Keshav Prasad joined the Indian Revenue Service in 1970. In his decades long career, he has served in various important capacities including as Commissioner, Income Tax at Bombay and Delhi.

In 1999 he topped all- India the interview conducted by Selection Committee (headed by a Supreme Court Judge) to select a member for Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. He joined the Tribunal in 1999 as its member and retired from that position in 2005.

Mr. Prasad brings to IAS Gurukul his keen understanding of finance and revenue and decades- long experience as a revenue officer. He has in-depth knowledge of government processes and government-citizen interaction. He has himself cleared the UPSC exam and understands the requirements of the exam.
