About Abhinav Sharma
Abhinav Sharma is from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Coming from a family with a strong background in law enforcement, where his father serves as a police inspector in the Uttar Pradesh Police and several other relatives are in the force, he was inspired to join the uniform services from a young age.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna in 2020. After completing his degree, he dedicated his time to preparing for the civil services, emphasizing self-discipline and limiting distractions like social media.
His journey spanned four attempts. After facing setbacks in his early attempts, he cleared the examination in 2023 to join the Indian Postal Service. He attempted the exam again in 2024, securing Rank 130 with Sociology as his optional subject, successfully realizing his goal of being allocated to the Indian Police Service (IPS).
