About Dr. Pulkit Bansal
Dr. Pulkit Bansal was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, and was raised in Delhi. He is a medical professional who graduated from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, in the batch of 2023. Prior to his civil services success, he also secured AIR 3 in the UPSC Combined Medical Services (CMS) 2023 examination.
Motivated by a desire to work on systemic health and administrative issues at a broader policymaking level, he chose to transition from clinical medicine to public administration and governance.
He successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in his very first attempt, opting for Sociology as his optional subject. He has been allocated to the Indian Police Service (IPS) and assigned to the Jharkhand cadre.
