About Hemanth Sankar P
Hemanth Sankar P belongs to Palakkad in Kerala. He completed his higher education in engineering, graduating with a Bachelor of Technology in Production Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut. He was inspired to pursue a career in the civil services by his brother, who serves as an officer in the Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
Hemanth selected Sociology as his optional subject for the UPSC examinations and enrolled in the sociology program at IAS Gurukul. To refine his preparation, particularly for the interview phase, he also took mock sessions and guidance from various local academies in Kerala, including the Kerala State Civil Service Academy and iLearn IAS.
His hard work and determination bore fruit when he secured an All India Rank of 223 in the Civil Services Examination 2024, leading to his allocation to the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). Hemanth continues to work towards his ultimate aspiration of joining the diplomatic corps.
