About PRATIVA LAMA
Prativa Lama is from the hill station of Darjeeling in West Bengal. She completed her undergraduate studies at Miranda House, Delhi University, graduating with a degree in Political Science. She set her sights on the civil services early on, drawing inspiration from her academic background.
Prativa chose Sociology as her optional subject and prepared under the guidance of IAS Gurukul. Her journey was marked by challenges, including failures in the CSAT paper during previous attempts, but she maintained a comeback mindset and practiced rigorous answer writing. She also received mentorship from Insights IAS to refine her overall preparation.
Her persistence paid off when she secured an All India Rank of 461 in the Civil Services Examination 2024. With this rank, she achieved her goal of joining the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), becoming a source of inspiration for aspirants in the Darjeeling region.
