About Shivani Panchal
Shivani Panchal hails from Bhodwal Majri village in Panipat, Haryana. Facing adversity early in life, she lost her father in a road accident when she was only a child. She was raised and supported by her mother, Savita Devi, who worked as an Anganwadi worker to ensure her children received a quality education.
Shivani went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, in 2021. After completing her studies, she worked for two years at JSW Steel in Gurugram before deciding to leave her corporate job to prepare for the civil services.
She cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in her very first attempt, choosing Sociology as her optional subject. Alongside her UPSC preparation, she cleared the Haryana Civil Services (HCS) exam with rank 21, balancing her administrative training with her UPSC mains and interview preparation. She has been allocated to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under her home cadre of Haryana.
