About Lavanya Gaur
Lavanya Gaur is from Delhi, with her family roots tracing back to Rajasthan and Gujarat. She completed her schooling at Queen Mary's School in Delhi before pursuing higher studies in technology. She earned her Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science from the Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
Prior to transitioning to civil services preparation, Lavanya built a successful career in the technology sector, which included a software engineering internship at Google and working as a Member of Technical Staff at Salesforce. However, she decided to leave her corporate career behind to work towards making a more direct contribution to society through governance.
She cleared the Civil Services Examination on her fourth attempt, choosing Sociology as her optional subject. Her consistent efforts and focused preparation paid off, leading to her allocation to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
