About Reenu Anna Mathew
Reenu Anna Mathew hails from Pathanapuram, Kollam, in Kerala. She completed her undergraduate studies at St. Stephen's College, Delhi, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Her academic training in economics laid a strong foundation for her interest in public policy and administrative affairs.
Her journey to the civil services was marked by determination and resilience. She cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in her fourth attempt, overcoming setbacks in previous attempts where she failed to clear the preliminary and subsequent stages of the examination.
Reenu chose Sociology as her optional subject for the UPSC examination. Guided by her career aspiration to work in foreign relations, she opted for foreign service and has been allocated to the Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
